RM of St. Andrews’s story
The Rural Municipality of St. Andrews No. 287 incorporated as a rural municipality on December 12, 1910. It lies in west-central Saskatchewan and is run by an elected council and an appointed administrator, who meet on the second Tuesday of each month. The municipal office is in Rosetown.
The RM surrounds the towns of Rosetown and Zealandia. Within its boundaries are also the community of Sovereign, which was dissolved as a village on December 31, 2005 and is now a special service area, and the localities of Fortune, Glamis and Thrasher.
Saskatchewan Highway 7 runs through the municipality, and the Rosetown Airport serves the area.
